Aisling Bea

Aisling B a is born on 16 March, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. Bea has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea was first seen as part of the cast on Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. In 2012, she began being featured in sketch comedy programs as well as sitcoms and similar shows. In 2012, she began appearing in panel shows following the win of an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 and 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is an actress on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. She was in 2012 the second woman to ever be awarded the So You Think you're Funny award. The surname she uses is Bea to honor her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine veterinarian who committed suicide when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she was thirteen. Bea adopted the stage name Bea in honor of her father. She wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about her family's experience of suicide. Bea and her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and professional jockey for a time. Her parents were obsessed by racing and horses. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young teens. But she was aware, that racing wasn't what she wanted to pursue in a career and she preferred to perform.
