Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is well-known for her roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading role in several TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning diva. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects through the years. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical mini-series Napoleon as well as other miniseries. In addition, she was an active member of The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
